Sightings of Céline Dion sent social media into a tizzy Sunday night as fans speculated about a surprise appearance at The Grammy Awards.

The show had been teasing that an “absolute global icon” would be presenting the final award for Album of the Year and they didn’t disappoint.

As if Dion’s appearance wasn’t iconic enough, the album of the year award she presented to Taylor Swift for Midnights made history. Swift is now the only person who has ever won the award four times.

Swift previously held the record as the woman with the most album of the year awards, tied with Stevie Wonder, Frank Sinatra and Paul Simon.

As fans watched the epic duo on stage, some thought that Swift epically ignored Dion while accepting the award. Unlike Miley Cyrus, who fangirled over Mariah Carey after being presented with her Grammy, Swift barely gave Quebec’s queen a passing glance as she grabbed the golden trophy from Céline Dion’s hands and walked over to the mic.

There didn’t seem to be any bad blood though, the two were smiling and posed for photos backstage together. Karma seemed to be a relaxing thought for both by the end of the night.

This was the first award show Dion attended after announcing she has Stiff Person Syndrome.

Dion is releasing a Prime Video documentary to shed light on her battle with the disease.

Dion explained on Instagram, “This last couple of years has been such a challenge for me, the journey from discovering my condition to learning how to live with and manage it, but not to let it define me.”

She continued, “As the road to resuming my performing career continues, I have realized how much I have missed it, of being able to see my fans. During this absence, I decided I wanted to document this part of my life, to try to raise awareness of this little-known condition, to help others who share this diagnosis.”

Before getting no-hug from Taylor Swift, Dion had this message for fans and audience members who gave her a standing ovation as she walked onto the Grammy stage:

“Don’t take for granted the joy music brings to our lives and people around the world.”
