One year after Céline Dion revealed she had been diagnosed with a rare neurological disorder and would not be resuming her world tour, her sister says “She’s working hard, but she doesn’t have control of her muscles.”

In an interview with 7 Jours, Claudette Dion said the family’s foundation has received many calls from fans asking how Céline’s doing.

“People tell us they’re praying for her,” she said. “She receives so many messages, gifts and crucifixes.”

After initially postponing her remaining concert dates, the My Heart Will Go On singer announced in May that she was cancelling her Courage World Tour.

“I’m working really hard to build back my strength, but touring can be very difficult even when you’re 100%. It’s not fair to you to keep postponing the shows, and even though it breaks my heart, it’s best that we cancel everything now until I’m really ready to be back on stage again,” she wrote on Instagram.

Claudette Dion told 7 Jours that a return to the stage “is in our dreams and in hers,” but offered no specifics.
